Student learning advanced splicing

Advanced Fiber Optic Splicing Certification Overview

Using our proven FiberNexxt Way, trainees receive a combination of theory, practical reviews, and advanced splicing skills training. Program graduates earn the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certified Fiber Optic Specialist Splicing (CFOS/S) certification on passing the course exam. We prepare you for the exam and help you build hands-on skills with equipment used in the field. Before attending this course, participants must take either the 4-day certification or 1-day certification class.

Course Fee: $795 in class

What You Learn

Trainee technicians learn cable splicing training, including:

  • Fusion splicing

  • Mechanical splicing

  • Ribbon splicing

Class Options

We may have a class that fits your schedule. Select your course from the schedule and keep it on hand to complete your registration form. We have classroom sessions on weekdays (WDs) and weekends (WNDs). Registration deadlines are usually noon on the Monday before the first class day. Taking Our Online Courses

Tools are essential for completing hands-on skills training especially for our online classes. You can purchase our toolkit or purchase tools on your own. Please ask for our checklist so that your tool purchases meet class requirements. With our toolkit, you’ll be equipped for your first job on day one. Registration and Discounts

The last registration day is usually noon, Monday before the first class day. All course fees* include a non-refundable $395 deposit, which holds your seat. Our courses are discounted if you sign up early, as shown below:

  • Standard Course Fee: $795 in class

  • Early Registration Fee. $595 in class, a $200 savings off the standard fee. Register 2 weeks in advance.
