Cable Splicing Training Overview

We help you learn the skills used in today's fiber optic jobs in Marietta, Georgia, near Atlanta. We offer fiber optic splicing training online or in class on weekdays and weekends. With the FiberNexxt Way, you'll receive step-by-step hands-on training in cable prep and splicing. This class may be affordable if you only need skills and want to enter the field quickly. Since this is a non-certification class, students earn a Certificate of Completion.

Course Fee: $495 in class; $425 online

If you want to pursue FOA certification, register for our 4-day certification within a year of completing your SkillBuilder Splicing class, and your course fee will be applied toward certification. You save up to $495 off our standard fee. Super Early and Early discounts cannot be combined with this option. Call us for details.

What You Learn From Our Course

You'll learn a key skills used in fiber field work, including:

Preparing cable.
Splicing fiber cables and enclosures.
Testing cable for insertion loss.

Class Options

You can attend training in our classroom or online, and we offer dates* that fit most schedules. Select your course from the schedule and keep it on hand to complete your registration form. Online classes start in January 2025.

Weekdays (WD). This course usually meets on 4th Tuesdays.

Weekends (WND). This class meets on 3rd Sundays.

Online classes (O). These live classes meets 1st Sundays and 2nd Tuesdays.

Classroom sessions (C). These live classes meets at our Marietta school.

Taking Our Online Courses

Tools are essential for completing hands-on skills training especially for our online classes. You can purchase our toolkit or purchase tools on your own. Please ask for our checklist so that your tool purchases meet class requirements. With our toolkit, you’ll be equipped for your first job on day one. Registration and Discounts

The last registration day is usually noon, Monday before the first class day. All course fees include a non-refundable $395 deposit, which holds your seat. Discounts are unavailable for this course.
